"Alors?" is an innovative new course for adolescent and adult beginners. Level 1 covers level A1 of the CEFR, and employs the latest skills-centred approach to language learning. Recognising that the various communicative skills each require their own strategies, the course treats each skill largely independently, making the strategy clear to the student. Skills are introduced by the headings "Des conversations, De l'écoute, De la lecture, Des textes". "Alors" treats the French language not in isolation, but within the context of a modern French society open to many diverse cultures and languages.
