"Grenadine" cleverly combines the real world (six children on a visit to France) with the imaginary and humorous world of Grenadine the friendly witch. Each level contains 9 units each clearly divided into 3 double pages subtitled, "Le voyage des enfants", "Le chaudron de Grenadine" and "Au pays de Grenadine".

"Le voyage des enfants" concentrates on oral comprehension through the use of a recorded dialogue supported by colourful illustrations, "Le chaudron de Grenadine" emphasises the importance of language (vocabulary, grammar and phonetics) and "Au pays de Grenadine" uses songs and games to practice all the skills that children have learnt. For ease of reference, each page in the pupil's book gives the corresponding page numbers in the exercise book and the teacher's book.
